Encourage National Economic Development SMF Distributes Refinancing Funds of Rp. 850 Billion To BTN

Jakarta, July 15th  2020 – PT Sarana Multigriya Financial (Persero) or SMF disbursed refinancing loans for Home Ownership Loans (KPR) amounting to Rp850 billion to PT Bank BTN (Persero) Tbk. The loan is part of the collaboration of SMF and BTN in encouraging the acceleration of the National Economic Recovery (PEN), especially in the housing sector.

The collaboration of SMF and BTN was marked by the signing of the refinancing agreement by the Director of SMF, Heliantopo and the Director of Finance, Planning, & Treasury of BTN Bank Nixon L.P. Napitupulu, witnessed by the President Director of SMF, Ananta Wiyogo and Managing Director of Bank BTN, Pahala Nugraha Mansury, at the SMF Office, Grha SMF, Jakarta (07/14/2020).

The plan is that all funds channeled by SMF to BTN will be used for refinancing the Government Program KPR. On this occasion, the Director of SMF, Ananta Wiyogo said that the refinancing was a form of SMF’s support in encouraging the increase in liquidity of KPR channeling banks, especially Bank BTN, so that they could be maintained.

“We hope that this refinancing can trigger mortgage lenders to maximize their ability to encourage credit growth that is being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is part of the contribution of SMF and BTN in supporting the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program launched by the Government, “said SMF President Director, Ananta Wiyogo.

Ananta further said that the refinancing of the KPR was expected to be one of the catalysts that could encourage bank credit growth that was in line with the Government’s Program in restoring national economic conditions.

In line with that, President Director of Bank BTN, Pahala Nugraha Mansury said he hoped that this cooperation could be an additional stimulus from what Bank BTN had done to support PEN (National Economic Recovery) through the property sector so that 170 more derivative industries would move in the pandemic covid-19 .

Pahala further said that Bank BTN would like to be with the SMF in the future to be able to do better and more beneficial cooperation to support the government, especially in helping how the community has a home from the collaboration between BTN and SMF. Bank BTN’s collaboration with SMF related to loans according to Pahala has been running since 2011.

On the same occasion SMF and Bank BTN are also exploring the potential of Sharia financing.

With this Rp 850 billion loan disbursement, the total loan disbursement channeled by SMF to BTN both in the form of refinancing and FLPP for conventional and sharia throughout 2020 amounted to Rp4,850 trillion. The details of the financing include Rp3,850 trillion as mortgage refinancing and Rp999.5 billion for the FLPP KPR program with outstanding values ​​as of July 14, 2020, amounting to Rp19,164trillion and Rp3,222T.
